ABOUT ME

I am a composer, pianist, and music educator currently based in Ottawa, Canada. I also produce music and DJ under the alias 'Amyte'. My past projects include writing music for solo projects online and for animation students. Additionally, I've used my skills from producing to mix and master tracks for other producers and bands.

The music that I create draws and combines from my experiences and education in Western and Eastern music. I have studied piano under the Royal Conservatory of Music, acquiring my Grade 10 Piano Certification in 2012, and graduated from the University of Toronto in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music. I have studied the Yang Qin under the mentorship of Anna Guo, and have acquired my Grade 8 Yang Qin Certification from the Central Conservatory of Music in 2012; the highest certificate before performance level. I take inspiration from my favourite composers of film and videos games. Some example include Michael Giacchino (Up), Koichi Sugiyama (Dragon Quest series), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy series), and Jun-Hee Lee (MapleStory).

In my spare time, I volunteer at conventions as part of AV staff to develop my skills in live audio and recording.
